Overview
The Rebotec Pluto is a posterior walker — the child walks behind the frame rather than in front of it. This design encourages a more upright posture than a standard front walker and is commonly prescribed for children with conditions affecting gait, balance, or postural control.
The steerable front wheels allow the child to change direction easily, and the return motion brake controls the pace of movement to prevent the frame from rolling away. Both handle width and height are adjustable to fit the child.
The Pluto is available in two sizes:
| Size 1 (187.00.10) | Size 2 (187.00.20) | |
|---|---|---|
| Max capacity | 60 kg (132 lbs) | 80 kg (176 lbs) |
| Length × Width | 80 × 65 cm (31 × 26 in) | 86 × 67 cm (34 × 26 in) |
| Handle height | 46–81 cm (18–32 in) | 55–89 cm (22–35 in) |
An optional seat (ref 287.20.10) can be fitted to allow the child to rest without leaving the walker. An optional steerlock (ref 287.10.42) can be added to limit the turning radius of the front wheels if needed.
Who Is This For?
The Pluto is prescribed for children who benefit from posterior gait trainer support — typically those with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, or other conditions where a posterior walking position supports better functional mobility than a standard front walker. Size selection and setup should be guided by a physiotherapist or occupational therapist.
