Overview

The Rebotec Fun Kids forearm crutches are pediatric-specific crutches designed to make crutch use more appealing for children. The colorful, engaging design reduces the stigma often associated with mobility aids, which directly affects compliance — children who feel embarrassed by their crutches tend to avoid using them, increasing fall risk.

The anatomically shaped forearm cuff and soft grip are proportioned for smaller hands and arms. This is the key clinical distinction from standard crutches: a full-size crutch’s cuff and grip are too large for a child’s anatomy, leading to poor load distribution and discomfort. The Fun Kids are sized to fit correctly.

Handle height adjusts from 50 to 78 cm (20–31 in), covering a wide range of pediatric sizes. Rated capacity is 100 kg (220 lbs) — the crutches are structurally capable of supporting users up to 100 kg (220 lbs). Precise fitting by a physical therapist is recommended to ensure correct handle height and cuff position.

For children whose balance is unpredictable or who are at elevated fall risk, consider the Safe In Kids — the same size range and dimensions, with a spring-loaded safety release cuff that opens automatically in a fall.

Who Is This For?

The Fun Kids crutches are appropriate for children who need forearm crutches for post-operative recovery, orthopedic conditions, or long-term mobility support — and where fall risk is considered manageable. They are the right choice when a child is cooperative and consistent with crutch use and where the cuff design encourages rather than discourages use.
